Comcast Extreme 105 Xfinity Perfect for Usenet

Thursday, April 14th, 2011

Comcast announced today that they are rolling out their Extreme 105 Xfinity Internet service to more than 40 million homes in the U.S.  The Extreme 105 service will provide download speeds of up to 105 Mbps and uploads of up to 10 Mbps.

The service is currently available in major markets like San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Denver, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Indianapolis, Miami, Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Boston.  It will continue to launch in additional markets going forward.

This speed is perfect for Binverse Usenet customers.

With Binverse you are able to download directly from our private and secure Usenet servers at speeds as fast as your ISP will allow.

For example, at 105 Mbps a 4 GB file would only take 5 minutes to download as opposed to more than an hour with a standard cable or dsl connection.

And with more than 800 terabytes of user uploads available, you’ll have plenty to download!

Try Binverse for 3 Days free with your super fast internet connection and experience lightening quick downloads like never before.

New Binverse Home Page

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

Hello fellow Binversers. As you may have already seen, Binverse has launched a new design for our home page. In addition to being more pleasing to the eye we hope we’ve done a better job of explaining everything that Binverse offers.

As we’ve said before, we are constantly working on improving the Binverse experience. While the new web design may not be as exciting as our recent announcement of 400 days retention, we hope you appreciate a few cosmetic improvements along the way.

A special thanks to all our loyal customers. Please let us know what you think of the new design or the service in general. Email, comment on this blog, or just give us a call. Our goal is to be engaged with our customers and improve the service in ways you think are important.

Binverse Doubles Binary Retention – Now At 400 Days!

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

In a major upgrade to the Binverse service and search engine, binary retention has been upgraded to 400 days. That’s more than twice the retention previously offered and a huge improvement to the Binverse experience.

Binverse prides itself on being the best all-in-one solution for accessing, searching and downloading from Usenet. Our all-in-one approach makes Binverse an easy-to-use solution to the commonly complicated world of Usenet. The additional retention sweetens the deal by making the built-in search engine more robust.

Retention refers to the amount of time a post is available through the Binverse service. For example if someone uploaded a post one year ago, it would require 365 days retention in order for it to be available for download. With our recent service improvement, you’ll now be able to download posts from as far back as 400 days ago.

What does this mean for me?

More search results! When you use the Binverse search engine your keyword is run against the search engine’s index. Now that the index has been upgraded, you’ll be searching about twice as many posts. This means that there will be a greater variety of results and a greater likelihood that your search will be successful.

If you’re a hardcore Usenet user and you’ve been holding off on simplifying your Usenet experience with Binverse, now is the time to give us a shot. Our long retention, easy-to-use software, built-in search engine, preview feature, & full NZB support make Binverse the best Usenet experience hands down.

If you’re new to Usenet, Binverse will get you up and downloading faster than any other option available. Experience for yourself what you’ve heard others talking about, and rest assured that Binverse will deliver a robust download experience with a huge database to search through.

A special thanks to all our loyal customers. We hope you guys enjoy the extra retention. Stay tuned, we have plenty of other improvements to the Binverse service in the works.
